Roxanne Gaucherand is a filmmaker originally from Montélimar, France, and currently based in Brussels, where she studied filmmaking at INSAS. Her work blends fiction and documentary, focusing on vulnerable characters in destabilized ecosystems, sitting somewhere between reality and fantasy. As she continues to explore the boundaries of storytelling, she is increasingly drawn to video art, experimenting with new forms of visual expression and digital innovation.

Her debut film, Pyrale (2022), won the Burning Lights Jury Prize at the Visions du Réel festival and won several awards, screening at festivals and online during the lockdown (including Festival Dei Popoli, Festival de Brive, Chéries Chéris, IDFA, and Mediapart). She also creates music videos for artists such as Oklou, Agar Agar, Maud Geffray, David Numwami, Kcidy, and more. Additionally, she collaborates on art direction and filmmaking for KOKORO Productions.
